Costante is a Behavioral Performance System
for discretionary traders.
Costante helps traders follow the rules they already have when pressure makes those rules harder to follow. It connects planning, in-session checks, low-friction logging, and behavioral review into one system.
What is Costante?
Costante is for discretionary traders who already have a defined trading method and want a more structured way to execute it consistently. It does not replace a strategy or determine whether a setup has an edge. Costante structures the behavioral process around execution: the plan, the decision context, the record of what happened, and the review that follows.
Traditional trading journals primarily record and analyze what happened. Costante is designed around the behavioral process before, during, and after a trade: what the trader planned, whether an intended action matched that plan, what happened, and whether the same deviations repeat over time.
Why Costante exists
Knowing a rule and following a rule are different problems. Trading rules are often created when conditions are calm, but adherence is tested when uncertainty, money, urgency, or recent outcomes are present. A trader may re-enter emotionally after a loss, increase planned risk to recover, take an unplanned setup, continue beyond an intended session, or make an exception to a predefined rule under pressure.
Costante exists to keep the original plan and behavioral boundaries connected to the decisions being made, then preserve enough context to review what happened afterward. The purpose is not to remove responsibility from the trader; it is to make execution drift visible and reviewable.
How Costante works
Plan → Check → Log → Review → Measure
Plan
Define the session, relevant setups, planned risk boundaries, and personal guardrails before trading.
Check
Bring the relevant rule back into context when an intended action is being considered.
Log
Capture the trade and behavioral context with low friction.
Review
Separate trade outcome from execution quality and inspect where the plan held or drifted.
Measure
Track behavioral cost, discipline trends, and repeated drift across sessions.
Who Costante is for
Costante is primarily for discretionary and intraday traders, including rule-based discretionary traders and funded or evaluation traders, who already have a defined method but experience execution drift. It is useful when the challenge is applying an existing process consistently, especially around personal risk boundaries and recurring behavioral mistakes.
Costante is less relevant to traders primarily looking for signals, automated execution, strategy discovery, backtesting, broker-connected trade analytics, or an external system to decide whether they should place a trade.
What Costante is — and is not
Costante supports session planning, pre-trade and execution checks, Session Guardrails, low-friction logging, behavioral review, behavioral cost attribution, discipline trends, and drift detection. It is a decision-support and behavioral-review system, not a trading venue or enforcement layer.
Costante does not connect to brokers, exchanges, or prop firms; execute or route orders; block trades; enforce account rules; verify prop-firm compliance; provide trading signals; or determine whether a trade should be placed. Costante does not guarantee discipline, profitability, or trading outcomes. The trader remains responsible for strategy, risk management, execution decisions, and applicable account or prop-firm rules.
Product philosophy
Discipline is a reviewable process, not a personality trait. Execution quality should be evaluated through observable decisions and predefined rules. P&L alone is not a complete measure of process quality: a profitable rule violation and a losing rule-aligned trade are different kinds of evidence. Costante is designed to preserve that distinction.
Behavioral research informs Costante’s product thesis, but it does not prove that Costante improves discipline, profitability, or trading outcomes.
Business model
Costante is paid subscription software. Revenue comes from customers paying for access to the product rather than from trade execution, brokerage commissions, order flow, trading signals, performance-based fees, or the amount or frequency of a user’s trading activity. Costante’s business model therefore does not depend on encouraging users to trade more frequently. See current pricing.
